Anna Degerfeldt
Social Anthropologist, Urban Utveckling (Urban Development)
Anna Degerfeldt is a Social Anthropologist at Urban Utveckling where she works with the social aspects of urban planning together with fellow consultants. Anna works continuously with collaborative neighbourhood development, safety and situational crime prevention as a project manager for a BID-inspired association of property owners in Järva, Stockholm. Järva is a urban geographical area outside Stockholm characterized by socioeconomic inequalities. Additionally, Anna has in-depth practical experience with public dialogues and community engagement, working for both municipalities and housing companies all over Sweden. Anna studied a joint master’s degree in Social Anthropology at the University of Stockholm and University of Vienna. She now works to improve inclusivity at an earlier stage in urban planning processes, and to create a deeper understanding of how socially, economically and ecologically sustainable cities can be built, so that everyone has equal rights to future public space.
