Geir Arild Espnes

Director, Norwegian University of Science and Technology’s Center for Health Promotion Research (NTNU)

Geir Arild Espnes is Director of The NTNU Center for Health Promotion Research. His academic roles include Professor at the Department of Public Health and Nursing, Leader of the Public Health and Community Medicine Group, and Honorary Professor at Australian National University. Geir has been a past leader for the Norwegian Network for Education and Research in Health Promotion as well as President of the International Forum of Health Promotion Research. Geir is the author of many research articles and books. He is a Member of Global WGS, Leader of Research in EUPHA´s Health Promotion Section, leader of European Forum for Health Promotion Research and serves on the board of Center of Saltogenesis, University West, Sweden. Geir is a Mentor in the building of SUN-Research National University of Singapore and is a Deputy Member of Parliament in Norway.
