After the COP22 in Marrakech and the recent legislative package, 2017 will be decisive for the EU institutions, the national authorities and the industry to turn the climate objectives into concrete policy actions.
The 3rd EU Energy Summit on 28th March 2017 will be therefore in an excellent opportunity to discuss the very recent EU initiatives and their impact on the energy market, and to debate how the EU could encourage and support the efforts required from the European economic and social actors to face major challenges: innovative technologies to boost decarbonisation and energy efficiency, new electricity market design and integration of renewable energy, mobilisation of public and private capital, promotion of smart cities and consumers’ empowerment, widening and strengthening of the energy systems’ resilience, etc.
