Elisabeth Bengtsson, Senior Officer Public Health Västra Götaland, Consultant WHO Healthy Cities Network

Ms Elisabeth Bengtsson, Master of Social Work and Public Administration has a working career in Swedish Public administration at the local and regional level. For the last 20 years Elisabeth has been working on developing  Public Health Promotion as a public health director, and a senior advisor. Parallel to her work in Sweden, Elisabeth has served as a consultant to the WHO European Healthy Cities programme since 2003.

Elisabeth is strongly committed to implementing and transforming global strategies for sustainable development and health promotion into actions that can be realized at the subnational level.
