These inter-related work strands investigate in further detail the policies, practices and innovations that can contribute to achieving INHERIT’s visions of a more sustainable future.

From the database of promising practices, INHERIT partners selected 16 promising practices in the areas of living, moving and consuming to be chosen for impact assessments as ‘pilot-studies.’

The selected practices may over the course of 18 months be modified or transferred and will undergo further qualitative evaluation (all), qualitative evaluation (half) and cost-benefit evaluation (one fourth).

The evaluations look at the dynamics of cross-sectoral collaboration and assess impacts on the environment, health and health equity. The pilot studies will contribute greater insight and evidence on what is necessary to achieve an environmentally sustainable future with improved health for all.
