Marco Garrido-Cumbrera

Marco Garrido-Cumbrera PhD is a professor of the University of Seville and leads the Health & Territory Research (HTR). Marco has carried out university studies in Spain, Italy and France and has participated in more than 30 scientific projects, implementing different methodologies for assessing health determinants and inequalities, exploring how built environment (sprawl and green areas) impact physical activity and health (mental health and obesity). He is co-author of more than 40 scientific publications (including peer-reviewed articles and has worked for the World Health Organization (WHO) as project manager of global Health Atlas projects. Currently, he coordinates R&D projects such as the Atlas of Migraine in Spain, the European Map of Axial Spondyloarthritis (EMAS)and the URDIS project focused on Urban Sprawl and Obesity.
