Lifestyle e-coaching [Greece & Netherlands]

In a Nutshell:
The lifestyle e-coaching case study involves the use of lifestyle-change applications intended to motivate people to engage in healthier and more active lifestyles. An activity tracker connected to a mobile health app records and analyzes daily activities and habits as a way to encourage or e-coach users to be more physically active. INHERIT looks into whether the coaching app changes activity levels among users, and whether this change in behaviour is sustainable. The case study also aims to gain insights into how the lifestyle change app works in lower income groups.
Health-Equity-Environment:
Lifestyle e-coaching improves people’s health by instigating and recording active lifestyle habits; addresses health equity by focusing on whether lifestyle-change apps work well with lower socio-economic status (SES) groups; and encourage people to choose biking or walking instead of using their car, which decreases our human impact on the environment.
Key Features:
- An activity tracker connected to a mobile health app.
- Stakeholders: lower/medium socio-economic status (SES) citizens engaged with participation compensation.
- Sectors: business and non-profit organisations.
